Lake Living at its Best!

Sports & Recreation

There is a vast array of Sports and Recreation happening in and around Ozawkie. Our local residents are loyal supporters of our school sports teams.

Lake Perry is the 3rd largest lake in Kansas and holds many events throughout the year. Horseback trail riding, boating, fishing, skiing, biking (bicycle and motorcycle), sailing and yachting are all very popular activities around the area.

Biking

Lake Perry offers trails for the bicyclist to enjoy and get a great workout. The hills of Jefferson County make it a challenge for the bicyclist and offers great cardio benefits as well as scenic views during the ride.

Geocaching

Geocaching is a fun activity for the entire family that is not well-known to all, but to some geocachers that travel to across the land (some even around the world) to find little treasures hidden throughout the lands. Lake Perry has numerous caches hidden from easy to find to nearly impossible; smooth terrain to rocky; small containers to large…it’s all a hunt to find out what is out there.
